I considered posting on this matter and have given a lot of thought on what to say, as this single issue could warrant a chapter if not a book. But I could have never put it better than you. You covered the entire spectrum of this issue. And there’s not one single point I disagree with you on, having served 8 years during the Vietnam era, including how Obama handled it.

Just this AM I was saying the red flags were waving and screaming so loud a blind deaf person couldn’t have helped but notice. And if our Commander-in-chief doesn’t address at least that with our federal police, then this will be just another of his failures.

I had FOX news on around 5:00 yesterday. The anchors said “Obama to address the Ft. Hood..”.

So, I waited for a few and he came on… Upbeat and giving shout out’s.

I watched for about 1 1/2 min’s and switched the TV off in disgust.

I too noticed that he took the time to talk to his cronies first and the little laugh he gave during that schmoozing just made me cringe. I was beginning to think I was the only one who had noticed that the soldiers in this instance ranked SECOND – nice coming from our Commander-in-Chief.

I’ve got to say I’m pretty much in solid agreement with you for the most part, and I DO live in Detroit. However I do differ with you on Saunteel Jenkins. Although I agree it’s upsetting about her friendship w/ Kwame and Christine, to me it’s not enough to cancel her out. If I was written off based on some of the friendships I’ve maintained over the years there would be little hope for me. Safe to say all my friends ain’t saints, but I’d like to think my hands are pretty clean. And Saunteel’s longtime relationship with Maryanne Mahaffey – whom I was extremely supportive of – says an awful lot to me.
